The Illinois Subcommittee on Bed Bugs is meeting on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 9:30am at the DuPage County Health Department Lower Level Conference Room 1 located at 111 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton, Illinois 60187.
In an email forwarded to me from the Chicago Creative Investors Association, the CCIA has indicated that “the Illinois Subcommittee on Bed Bugs was convened to study the bed bug problem in Illinois and recommend solutions. The minutes from their last meeting and the draft of their report to the State indicate that they plan to suggest that Illinois pass a law requiring landlords to take on the responsibility of treating bed bug infestations in their properties”. The CCIA has indicated that the Illinois Rental Property Owners Association is suggesting that landlords come out to the meeting in force, although landlords will probably not have the opportunity to speak.
