While we sometimes handle security deposit cases under the Chicago Residential Landlord and Tenant Ordinance, we do not accept any other tenant-side engagements (like defending a tenant in an eviction) and will not be able to discuss any such issues with tenants who call our office – we can’t even answer a quick or simple question. Please keep in mind that we do not, as a general rule, get involved in cases where a complaint has already been filed in the circuit court and we do not “answer quick questions” from folks who do not want to hire us.
